SmartBRO PORTForwarding

the answer is no, for now… i hope smart will fix this issue,

SMARTBRO users per area are within Private Network, You are not directly expose to the net, all packets traffics goes to the GW per BTS with its own Public IP address, Also, canopy is in bridge mode… your computer is getting a private IP from the BTS DHCP Gateway

VOIP and VPN and alikes would not work properly since the Internet cannot see you, only SMART BTS Gateway can be seen by the Internet Community

      It’s ridiculous.In contrast to your advertisement connection is much slower than
      dial up and it’s expensive.Everytime you connect, less 15 mins the connection is
      cut off and that’s supposed 10 pesos for 30 mins. You have to disconnect or shut off again your computer so you can connect again for another 10 pesos which you are supposed to use for 30 mins but less than that time no more connection
      again.You have to disconnect and connect all over again and again and that is
      10 pesos charge per connection.This is plain cheating and robbery.

      @Edmund

      I believe you are referring to the SmartBro Plugit. the speed the you get with plugit actually depends on the type of signal that the supplied modem is able to connect to. So if you are within city limits, you will most likely be able to connect via HSDPA, thus giving you the maximum potential of Plugit. speeds excess of 384kbps. but if say, you are in small towns, you would most likely only be able to connect via GPRS. thus giving you a very limited range of speed. around 100kbps max!
