Demo
Land lots on a map, from first look to a closed inquiry
Browse an invented valley’s lots by their boundaries, coloured and patterned by status. Narrow them by region and then locality, compare three side by side, and ask about one. Then take the listing agent’s side: work the inquiry from new to closed, and draw a new lot’s boundary while its area updates with every corner.
This is a simulation. No AI model runs on this page, and there is no map service: the map is a drawing made in your browser, not satellite imagery. The valley, its places, lots, prices, papers, buyers and agent are all invented, and prices are plain numbers in no real currency. Nothing you type leaves your browser or is kept, and reloading the page starts again.

Compare lots
Use the Compare button on up to three lots to see them side by side. The best in a row is marked in words.
On a screen this narrow the table scrolls sideways to show every lot.
The agent’s inbox
Moss, the invented listing agent, works each inquiry from new to closed. Closing as reserved holds the lot for that buyer, and the map shows it.
3 open inquiries: 1 new, 1 replied, 1 viewing booked. 0 closed.
Q-1 Wren, about L1
New
Is the survey plan recent, and could I walk the lot on day 3?
Steps: New.
Q-2 Linnet, about L5
Replied
How wet does the low ground get, and is there a way in for a small truck?
Steps: New, then Replied.
Q-3 Plover, about L8
Viewing booked
Where exactly does the power line run, and can it be moved?
Steps: New, then Replied, then Viewing booked.
Draw and publish a new lot
Click or tap the map to place corners, or use the keyboard on the map: the arrow keys move the cursor 5 m (25 m with Shift), Enter places a corner, and Backspace takes the last one back. The area updates with every corner.
Cursor at 300 m east, 300 m south. No corners yet.
- Place at least 3 corners (0 corners so far).
What the demo shows
- Status you can read without colour. Each lot is filled by status and also striped, dotted or solid, with the status written on its card. A boundary that is only approximate is drawn with a dashed edge.
- Filters that cascade, and a map that follows. The locality list holds only the chosen region’s places, and the map fits the chosen place with a margin, never closer than a set width. Lots outside the filters fade on the map and leave the list.
- Area worked out from the boundary. The area comes from the corners themselves, in square metres, hectares and tennis courts, and updates as each corner goes down. Here the grid is flat and in metres; a real map measures on the curved earth.
- Checks before a lot goes up. A boundary that crosses itself, is too small, or overlaps another lot cannot be published, and each reason is said in words.
- Comparison with the best marked. Up to three lots side by side, with the lowest price for each square metre, the largest area and the most complete papers marked in words, not by colour alone.
- Inquiries from new to closed. A buyer’s question lands in the agent’s inbox as new, moves to replied and viewing booked, and closes as reserved or no deal. Reserving changes the lot’s status on the map and in the list.
